In May, the CDQ Academy once again brought together numerous data management practitioners. The main topics this time were data lifecycle, architecture and applications.
CDQ consultants supported the Swiss government in developing the new «common strategy for master data management at the federal level in Switzerland» which was approved by the federal council in December 2018. The strategy makes federal processes more efficient for citizens, companies and public authorities.
To build upon the success of 2018, the Data Sharing Community (a unique network of global companies for common maintenance of business partner data) aspires to achieve even more through automation, while also looking to Asia for continued growth and efficiency gains.
CDQ AG has teamed up with Bisnode D&B to provide the Data Sharing Community with access to the world's largest commercial database for business information. Both companies look forward to a successful partnership.
Industries targeted by the workshops are automotive, pharmaceuticals/chemistry, and consumer goods/retail. Workshops will be hosted by current membes of the Corporate Data League, (e.g. Bosch, Bayer and Nestlé).

The management of business partner data is heavily redundant: Many companies manage data (e.g. country names and codes, bill-to / ship-to / ordering addresses, or tax numbers) of the same customers and vendors. For this reason, BASF Schweiz AG and Robert Bosch GmbH joined the Corporate Data League (CDL), the trusted network of user companies for sharing corporate data.
CDQ recently joined the Industrial Data Space Association (IDSA), an initiative that was launched in Germany at the end of 2014 by representatives from business, politics, and research. The idea behind the Industrial Data Space is to provide virtual data spaces that support the secure exchange and simple linking of data in business ecosystems on the basis of standards and using collaborative governance models.
